FPV UK is the drone organisation who provide support and representation for drone, RC model and FPV pilots in the UK.

The association was formed in 2009 to champion and protect the hobby / sport of FPV (first person view) flying. They successfully persuaded the CAA to issue an exemption for FPV flying in 2009. The provisions of this FPV exemption were renewed every year until 2021 – when they were rolled into EU and UK law.

FPV UK members fly all kinds of drones and radio control models and they welcome everyone and everything; whether you have a tiny Tello, an expensive Inspire 3, a super fast 250 racing quad, or a beautiful balsa wood scale model, you’re welcome! Likewise it doesn't matter if you fly it by line of sight (LOS), or FPV (using video goggles to fly from the first person view).

FPV UK works with the regulator for UK aviation – the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the National Air Traffic Service (NATS), the Department for Transport (DfT), National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC), Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the House of Lords, the House of Commons, and other bodies, on matters pertaining to 'drones', FPV and recreational model flying.

FPV UK provides £5 million public and products liability insurance cover for all of your flying, FPV or otherwise, at home or in the EU plus Norway and Switzerland. You're also covered to fly your drones for commercial purposes – up to £15,000 annual turnover because FPV UK insurance now complies with regulation (EC) 785/2004 – the regulation which governs commercial aviation insurance.
